Graduation Requirements
KCS students are required to take a minimum of 46 credits to satisfy KCS’s graduation requirements. The school year is comprised of two semesters, with each semester receiving one credit. The distribution of these requirements is detailed below:
Service Learning
Each student has the responsibility to make the world a better place through active involvement and engagement. To this end, each student is expected to complete 20 hours of service learning each year.
Senior Year Requirements
Senior year at KCS is designed to serve as the culminating experience for its seniors, one that calls upon the members of the class to serve as to make a difference in the community. We achieve this in three ways:
Senior Speech
Deliver a Senior Speech that conveys the wisdom and reflections the Senior wants to share with the community.
Senior Leadership
Hold a Senior Leadership position which has three specific features: Requires regular engagement during the year, has high visibility, and has clear accountability.
Senior Capstone
Complete a Senior Capstone of the Senior’s design.
